The New C4 is equipped with Citroën Progressive Hydraulic Shock Absorbers® Suspensions, which provide unbeatable comfort and a flying carpet effect, resulting in on-board well-being, dynamism and driving pleasure.

Its operation is simple. Citroën Progressive Hydraulic Shock Absorbers® Suspensions incorporate two hydraulic stops on both sides: one for damping and one for compression. The suspension therefore works in two stages according to the requirements:

  • In light compressions and relaxations, the leaf spring and the shock absorber coordinate vertical movements without the need to resort to the hydraulic stops, thus providing a flying carpet effect and giving the feeling that the car is flying over the deformations of the road.
  • In significant compressions and relaxations, the spring and the shock absorber work in coordination with the hydraulic stops, which progressively reduce movement, thus avoiding sudden stops at the end of the journey. The hydraulic stop absorbs and dissipates the stored energy. Therefore, there is no bounce whatsoever and passengers are perfectly isolated from the road.

The Citroën C4 has the new generation Euro 6d gasoline or diesel engines:

  • Easy and efficient driving.
  • In gasoline, the choice of power can range from 100 to 155 hp.
  • In diesel from 110 to 130 hp.
